This April, RISE is hosting the 14th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes events! These family-friendly events create a safe environment for survivors and supporters to raise awareness for an uncomfortable topic.

Support a local awareness event that encourages the men in our community to take a stand against sexual assault and gender violence! This family-friendly event is an amazing opportunity for any business to reach their preferred audience and support a worthy cause. More information can be found on these pages.
RISE would like to invite local nonprofits and businesses to join each of the walks as vendors! Vendors are present during the event to showcase their information, value, and items to the community. This is an excellent opportunity to gain new supporters or customers. If you'd like to join the event as a vendor, please view and fill out this paperwork.
According to national statistics, someone is sexually assaulted every two minutes; 60% of sexual assaults go unreported and 97% of rapists will never spend a day in jail. Sexual Assault Awareness Month is an opportunity to talk about the reasons why rape is so underreported and what can be done about it.
This month is about honoring survivors, whether they have told their story or not. It's about raising awareness and destroying myths that make it difficult for survivors and their loved ones to talk about their experiences. Click here to learn how you can get involved.
